Greetings all! Welcome to Cloudburst, a blog possibly devoted to the downpour of tech ideas one may get from taking a tech course. Ideas which may help in the education of students in a more up to date way We will see.
Ok, so I just wrote a lot and it disappeared......but as I was saying, technology for me happened in the 1980's with At&&t computers, Final Word word processing, Rainbow systems, mainframe, etc. Lots of floppy drives, Apple IIe's, basic code classes, and finally, by the 1990's...we were wired for email in my school I taught at.....Internet happened a few years later. Now I work with 5th graders on internet research, interactive activities online, saving their writing to the school server, and a host of other activities. But, time to plan and come up with better ways to use technology in the classroom..geez, where will that come from...and the buget stuff all over the place...not a time to reduce spending on this stuff....Any one else out there feeling a bit frustrated or held back in promoting use oif technology in their school? Mike b
Ok, now that was cool! Check out the new picture on my blog.....ok, so the meatballs don't look like computers...but, maybe someone out there has designed a new form of technology that you can also eat in "little bits and bytes"? Mike
